Veteran saluting the american flag. Brought to you by USAGov

Almost everyone has a veteran in their life. It may be a grandfather, parent, cousin, aunt, teacher, or neighbor that has served in the armed forces. Veterans are a major part of any American community and it's important to make sure they're not left behind. Volunteers help vets every day, and Veterans Day is the perfect occasion to give back. Consider these opportunities to volunteer this November 11 or at any other point throughout the year:

  • Volunteer at a Veterans Health Facility
  • Offer to drive a veteran to an appointment
  • Connect veterans with job opportunities
